paperless

earth day is april 22nd, commemorating the 40th year.  with this in mind, we were on the road to becoming the biggest paper towel offenders on the planet.  i came across the perfect solution to our bad habit.
meet our towel house {via made in the red barn }
it happily holds about 18 unpaper towels.  i rotate through 36 as i wash.
it arrived looking so nice...
even the unpaper towels were wrapped so nicely.
my bounty never looked this good... this has been a good thing.

We stopped using paper towels about 2 years ago and I just use flour sacks for everything kitchen and all the messes. We love them and they can be bleached when they look gross.
